5. The Intersection of Set

The intersection of two sets A and B; is the set which consists of elements that are in A as well as in B. The set notation for the operation of intersection is ∩. A ∩ B means; A intersection B.

In set theoretical A ∩ B = {X: X ∈ A and X ∈ B}.
