1. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL CLASS AND DISEASE


Social class is social psychological term that tries to define an individual or a group of people's socio economics status. Social class can be the affluent also known as the higher or the rich class, the average also known as the middle class, the poor also known as the lower class. More often, it is the rich or the poor that are recognized, the middle class are also grouped under the rich as most of them are seen to have escaped the vicious circle of poverty and deprivation. Over 80% of the people are ravaged by poverty and ignorance and they are more afflicted by the disease of the poor such as kwashiorkor, tuberculosis, animal bite, infection and infestation of various types’ wounds and various forms of accident. On the other hand, the rich are identify with ill health condition such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, obesity, kidney disease etc. It can be seen that the disease can be attributed to their life style of much eating, lack of proper exercise, much stress and others whiledisease the  of the poor can be as a result of protein energy mal-nutrition, lack of medical up, ignorance, level of education etc
