Referential integrity is critical in banking databases. When a bank account is closed, what should happen to all the transactions associated with that account? Should they be deleted (CASCADE), kept with a null account reference, or should account closure be prevented if transactions exist? Argue your position from both a data integrity and a business/regulatory perspective (consider CBN record-keeping requirements for Nigerian banks).
