Diabetes mellitus is a group of diseases characterized by high blood sugar levels due to either the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the body's cells not responding properly to insulin. It can be managed through the following ways;
1. Healthy Diet:
Eating balanced meals that include vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean proteins while avoiding excess sugar and processed foods is essential. Reducing the intake of masa made from white rice, zobo and snacks like Cin-cin high in refined carbohydrates helps maintain stable blood sugar levels.
2. Regular Physical Activity:
Engaging in daily exercise such as farming,or household chores improves insulin sensitivity and promotes weight control.
3. Health Education and Awareness:
Community health programs that teach housewives about diabetes prevention, portion control, and healthy cooking methods play a vital role in promoting healthier habits
Especially in pregnant women or old age.
